The core of integrated construction of GRC curtain walls and insulation systems is to achieve synergy of 'decoration-insulation-waterproofing-fire protection' functions, and the key lies in four major points: interlayer compatibility design, reliable fixing system, tight sealing and waterproofing, and coordinated construction processes. As the contractor of integrated projects such as the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center, Qinglong has built a mature construction system backed by 28 years of full-chain experience, ensuring long-term stable operation of the integrated system.
Interlayer compatibility design: material matching + structural adaptation to avoid performance conflicts. The structural layers of an integrated system are typically 'GRC decorative layer - adhesive layer - insulation layer - base wall', and the materials of each layer must be compatible: the GRC decorative layer should use lightweight, high-strength products (surface density ≤80kg/㎡) to prevent excessive weight from compressing and deforming the insulation layer; the insulation layer should preferably use extruded polystyrene board (XPS) or rigid polyurethane foam board with compressive strength ≥250kPa and thermal conductivity ≤0.028W/(m·K), with a linear expansion coefficient close to that of GRC (deviation ≤3×10⁻⁶/℃) to reduce interlayer delamination caused by thermal deformation; the adhesive layer should use special polymer cement mortar with bond strength ≥0.6MPa and a certain degree of elasticity to buffer interlayer deformation. In integrated design, Qinglong uses BIM technology to simulate interlayer stress distribution and optimize material selection. In one project, the selected GRC and XPS insulation boards had a linear expansion coefficient deviation of only 2×10⁻⁶/℃, resulting in firm interlayer bonding with no risk of delamination.
Reliable fixing system: dual fixing + load-bearing capacity verification to ensure structural safety. The fixing of an integrated system must take into account the stability of both the GRC decorative layer and the insulation layer. Qinglong adopts a dual method of 'adhesion + mechanical fixing': the adhesive layer coverage rate is ≥60% to ensure overall bonding force; mechanical fixing uses plastic expansion anchors with spacing ≤500mm, no fewer than 6 per square meter, anchor penetration into the base wall ≥50mm, and tensile load-bearing capacity ≥0.8kN. For high-rise buildings or areas with strong winds, metal keels are added: the GRC decorative layer is connected to the keels through hangers, and the insulation layer is fixed between the keels and the base, forming double protection. For the integrated curtain wall of the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center, Qinglong optimized the anchor spacing to 450mm through load-bearing capacity verification, with 8 anchors per square meter, and selected hot-dip galvanized keels with an anti-rust rating of hot-dip galvanized coating thickness ≥85μm, ensuring no failure over long-term use. Fixing system failure is the main cause of integrated system detachment, so anchor quality and installation precision must be strictly controlled.
Tight sealing and waterproofing: full-node sealing + drainage design to eliminate leakage. The waterproofing weak points of an integrated system include GRC joints, insulation layer edges, and anchor holes. Qinglong adopts 'three lines of waterproofing': GRC joints are filled with foam backing rods + neutral silicone weather-resistant sealant, and the sealant is compatible with both GRC and the insulation layer without corrosion; insulation layer edges are wrapped with waterproof membrane, width ≥100mm, firmly bonded to the GRC; anchor holes are sealed with sealant to prevent rainwater from penetrating through the holes. Meanwhile, horizontal drainage channels and vertical drainage outlets are designed with spacing ≤6m to promptly drain the small amount of infiltrated rainwater. The integrated GRC curtain wall of Hainan Changying Global 100 Fantasyland passed rainstorm tests with no leakage points at all, demonstrating remarkable waterproofing performance. Sealing and waterproofing failure would cause the insulation layer to become damp, increase thermal conductivity, reduce insulation performance, and even lead to corrosion of the base wall.
Coordinated construction process: sequence control + precision control to ensure construction quality. Integrated construction must follow the sequence of 'base treatment - insulation layer installation - adhesive fixing - GRC decorative layer installation - sealing and waterproofing - surface protection'. In construction, Qinglong focuses on controlling: base wall flatness error ≤5mm, otherwise leveling treatment is carried out; insulation layer installation joints ≤2mm, filled with special adhesive to avoid thermal bridges; GRC decorative layer installation precision follows curtain wall standards, with verticality ≤2mm/m and flatness ≤2mm/m; joints are cleaned before sealant application to ensure no dust or oil stains, and pressed flat with special tools to avoid air bubbles and hollowing. In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC project, Qinglong achieved a construction pass rate of 100% for the integrated system through standardized construction processes, with insulation performance testing up to standard (heat transfer coefficient ≤0.6W/(㎡·K)). Disordered construction processes would lead to weak interlayer bonding and excessive precision deviations, affecting overall performance.
The key to integrated construction of GRC curtain walls and insulation systems is 'systems thinking', which must balance the compatibility of materials in each layer, the reliability of fixing, the tightness of waterproofing, and the coordination of construction. Through full-process control of design, materials, and construction, Qinglong's integrated construction system has achieved a perfect integration of decoration and insulation functions. For owners and designers, integrated construction can shorten the construction period, reduce costs, and improve building energy efficiency. Choosing a manufacturer with systematic construction capabilities is crucial. With professional technology and rich experience, Qinglong provides high-quality integrated solutions for every project.
