GRC installation must follow a standardized process, generally divided into six stages: preparation work, surveying and setting out, substrate treatment, panel installation, joint treatment, and cleaning and acceptance. Each stage has strict technical requirements.

In the Shanghai Century Plaza renovation project, the Qinglong installation team strictly executed the standardized process: first, a site survey was conducted using a 3D scanner to obtain substrate data; then a BIM model was used for installation simulation to optimize the installation sequence; installation proceeded from bottom to top, starting from the middle and moving to both sides, completing a fixed area each day; joint treatment used specialized sealant applied in two passes; finally, comprehensive inspection and acceptance were carried out. This standardized operation ensured the project was completed to a high standard.

Pre-Installation Preparation Stage

Verify drawings against on-site dimensions; adjust if tolerances are exceeded. Check panel numbering, quantity, and quality; replace damaged panels. Prepare construction tools and check safety devices. Clarify key points in the technical briefing.

Surveying and Setting Out

Set installation datum lines with an accuracy of ±1mm. Snap panel layout lines clearly and accurately. Recheck substrate dimensions and record deviation data. Line work must be rechecked and confirmed after setting out.

Substrate Treatment Requirements

Substrate strength must meet standards, with no hollowing or cracking. Flatness deviation ≤4mm/2m. Waterproofing layer intact and free of leakage. Embedded parts accurately positioned, secure and reliable.

Panel Installation Technique

Install in numbered sequence to prevent confusion. Install hangers securely and adjust into position. Keep panel joints even and consistent in width. Inspect and correct promptly to ensure quality.
