In the field of architectural decoration, GRC components are widely used in high-end projects such as grand theaters, commercial complexes, and landmark buildings, thanks to their lightweight, high-strength nature and rich shaping possibilities. As an industry leader with 28 years of full-chain experience in UHPC/GRC/GRG/GRP materials, Qinglong Group knows well that surface treatment technology is the key link determining the quality of GRC components. The surface treatment of high-quality GRC components not only affects aesthetics but also directly relates to durability and safety, requiring closed-loop management from material selection and process control to quality inspection.
One of the core requirements of surface treatment for high-quality GRC components is refined substrate treatment. During the production stage, the surface of the GRC matrix must be ensured to be flat and defect-free; by precisely controlling the water-cement ratio and glass fiber distribution, surface cracks or pores caused by improper material proportions can be avoided. Qinglong Group uses automated mixing equipment and mold pretreatment technology to keep the flatness error of the component substrate within 2mm/m, laying a foundation for subsequent surface treatment. Meanwhile, for different application scenarios (such as exterior wall cladding panels and garden landscape components), substrate treatment also needs to consider interfacial adhesion, improving the bonding strength of surface coatings through the application of special interface agents. Surface texture and color stability are another important standard for GRC component surface treatment. High-end decorative effects such as stone-like and metal-like finishes must be achieved through multi-layer coating processes. Qinglong Group has introduced Italian-imported color pastes and weather-resistant resins, adopting a three-coat-one-bake process to ensure that the surface color uniformity deviation does not exceed 3%, with no fading or chalking in environments from -40℃ to 70℃. Taking the Nanjing East Road Century Plaza renovation project as an example, its translucent GRC components were treated with a surface nano-coating, which retained light-transmitting performance while achieving stain-resistant self-cleaning functionality, solving the pain point of traditional GRC's tendency to accumulate dust.
Durability protection technology is a key guarantee for the surface treatment of high-quality GRC components. Outdoor GRC components must withstand natural factors such as ultraviolet rays, rain and snow, and temperature differences; surface treatment must possess impermeability, freeze-thaw resistance, and carbonation resistance. In accordance with the Technical Standard for Building Application of Glass Fiber Reinforced Cement (GRC) (JGJ/T423-2018), Qinglong Group conducts 1000-hour weather resistance tests on each batch of components. By applying silane impregnation agents and fluorocarbon coatings to the surface, the service life of components is extended to more than 50 years. In the Dongguan Women and Children's Activity Center project, the GRC exterior wall panels treated with this process have endured 8 years of wind and rain, with their surfaces still intact as new, confirming the reliability of the technology. A refined quality inspection system is the last line of defense in implementing surface treatment technology. Qinglong Group has established a full-process inspection mechanism from raw material entry to finished product shipment, covering 12 indicators including surface gloss, adhesion, and impact resistance. Among these, the cross-cut test is used to test coating adhesion, requiring Grade 0 per the GB/T 9286 standard; the ball-drop impact test ensures a surface impact strength of ≥5J. In addition, for special-shaped components (such as double-curved curtain wall panels and openwork reliefs), 3D scanning technology is introduced to verify surface precision, ensuring that every product meets design requirements.
As a national high-tech enterprise and a participant in GRC standard formulation, Qinglong Group has always regarded surface treatment technology innovation as its core competitiveness. From parametric surface texture optimization in the detailed design stage, to the application of intelligent spraying robots in production, and to seamless jointing technology in construction and installation, it has formed a full-chain surface treatment solution covering "design-production-construction". In the future, with the development of UHPC/GRC composite components, Qinglong will continue to explore more environmentally friendly and more efficient surface treatment technologies, providing designers and owners with architectural decoration materials that combine aesthetic value and durability.
