In the installation of UHPC components, embedded parts serve as key nodes connecting the main structure with the components, and the choice of their material and the rationality of their selection directly affect the building's safety, durability, and decorative effect. As an industry-leading enterprise with 28 years of full-chain experience in UHPC/GRC/GRG/GRP materials, Qinglong Group draws on more than a thousand engineering projects to provide an in-depth analysis of the material requirements and selection logic for embedded parts, offering professional solutions for designers and owners.
I. Core Material Requirements for Embedded Parts of UHPC Components
UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete), with its ultra-high strength (compressive strength ≥150MPa), excellent durability, and ability to form complex shapes, is widely used in high-end settings such as landmark buildings and commercial complexes. As the “bridge” for load transfer, embedded parts must meet three core requirements:
1. Mechanical Performance Compatibility: The material strength of embedded parts must match the load-bearing capacity of UHPC components. Q355B low-alloy steel or 316 stainless steel is commonly used, with yield strengths of 355MPa and 205MPa respectively, ensuring no plastic deformation under extreme conditions such as earthquakes and wind loads. The “General Technical Conditions for Non-Load-Bearing Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) Components” (Plan No. 2024-0232T-JC), which Qinglong Group participated in formulating, explicitly stipulates that the tensile load-bearing capacity of embedded parts should be ≥1.5 times the design load of the component.
2. Weather Resistance and Durability: For different building environments, embedded parts must be corrosion-resistant. In coastal areas with high salt mist, 316 stainless steel embedded parts can remain maintenance-free for more than 50 years; in ordinary atmospheric environments, hot-dip galvanized Q355B embedded parts require a zinc coating thickness of ≥85μm and must pass neutral salt spray testing for ≥1000 hours. Qinglong's Guangxi production base is equipped with a fully automatic galvanizing line to ensure coating uniformity and adhesion.
3. Interfacial Bonding Performance: The surface of embedded parts must be treated by sandblasting, application of interface agents, and other processes to form a rough texture, achieving an interfacial bond strength with UHPC of ≥3MPa. Through 2000 freeze-thaw cycle tests, Qinglong's R&D center verified that the optimized collaboration coefficient between embedded parts and UHPC reaches 0.92, effectively preventing the hidden danger of “debonding.”
II. Scientific Selection Strategies for UHPC Embedded Parts
Based on component type, installation method, and load-bearing characteristics, the selection of embedded parts should follow the principle of “scenario adaptation”:
1. Selection by Component Function: Exterior wall cladding panels should adopt “L-shaped + anchor bar” combined embedded parts, with anchor bar diameters ≥12mm and spacing ≤300mm, ensuring pull-out resistance ≥5kN; garden landscape components such as UHPC benches can use flat-plate embedded parts, connected to the concrete base through rebar planting, simplifying the construction process.
2. Selection by Installation Process: For prefabricated assembly construction, embedded parts with adjusting nuts are recommended, allowing three-dimensional fine adjustment of ±15mm. In Qinglong's Century Plaza renovation project on Nanjing East Road, this type of embedded part achieved an installation error of ≤2mm for translucent UHPC components; cast-in-place components use detachable embedded parts to reduce subsequent processing costs.
3. Customized Solutions for Special Scenarios: For large-span UHPC curtain walls (single panel area ≥5㎡), Qinglong's technical team innovatively designed a “truss-type embedded part system,” optimizing node stress distribution through finite element analysis. It was successfully applied in the Dongguan Women and Children's Activity Center project and won the AALBORG WHITE Cup GRC Construction Engineering Innovation Award.
III. Full-Chain Quality Control Ensures the Reliability of Embedded Parts
As a national high-tech enterprise, Qinglong has established a full-process control system covering everything from material traceability to installation acceptance: for raw materials, direct supply partnerships have been established with Baosteel, TISCO, and others, and material certificates are provided for every batch of steel; in production, BIM technology is used to simulate embedded part positioning, combined with 3D scanning to ensure embedding accuracy; during the construction phase, a “three-inspection system” is implemented, and quality traceability is achieved through RFID chips. To date, among the UHPC/GRC/GRG/GRP projects completed by Qinglong, there have been zero quality complaints related to embedded parts. Overseas projects, such as the embedded part system at Country Garden Forest City in Malaysia, remain intact after 6 years of sea wind erosion.
Although embedded parts are “invisible” building components, they are the core guarantee of both the decorative effect and the structural safety of UHPC. With 28 years of professional expertise, Qinglong Group deeply integrates materials science with engineering practice, providing designers with full-cycle services ranging from selection consultation to on-site technical support, helping to realize the corporate mission of “creating beautiful architecture.” Choose Qinglong for UHPC system solutions that combine safety and aesthetics.
