Controlling the jointing precision of multi-curved UHPC forms is the core technology for ensuring a building's visual continuity, and it must be achieved through the systematic approach of "unified datum - error allocation - real-time correction." Qinglong Group sets its jointing precision standards at a joint width error of ≤ ±1.5mm, an adjacent panel surface height difference of ≤ 2mm, and an overall surface smoothness deviation of ≤ 3mm/5m. Through total station setting out (accuracy ±2mm) and an adjustable connection system, it achieved the perfect alignment of tens of thousands of double-curved panels in projects such as the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC.
A unified datum is the foundation of precision. A project-wide global coordinate system is established, actual substrate data are captured through 3D laser scanning, and correction parameters are generated by comparison with the BIM model. Qinglong Group uses Leica total stations to set up the control network, keeping installation datum point errors within ±1mm. For curved forms, dedicated positioning templates are fabricated to ensure the accurate spatial orientation of every panel. In the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project, digital pre-assembly detected and corrected 137 potential clash points.
The error allocation system is scientific and rational. Total error is broken down into four parts—mold fabrication (±0.5mm), production deformation (±1mm), surveying and setting out (±1mm), and installation adjustment (±1.5mm)—with tolerance limits set for each stage. Statistical process control (SPC) is applied to monitor error accumulation and ensure that final precision meets standards. Through rigorous process control, Qinglong Group keeps the error dispersion coefficient within 5%.
Real-time correction safeguards the final result. During installation, a laser tracker monitors placement accuracy in real time, with fine adjustments made via 3D adjustable brackets (adjustment range ±5mm). Standard spacer blocks control joint width, and sealant is applied with uniform thickness. Through this closed-loop control system, the multi-curved UHPC curtain wall delivers a smooth, flawless visual effect.
