UHPC offers irreplaceable advantages in water conservancy engineering. Its high impermeability, strong corrosion resistance, high durability, and scour-and-abrasion resistance perfectly suit the harsh environment of water projects—long-term water contact, water-flow scouring, and exposure to corrosive media—making it an ideal material for dams, spillways, water treatment facilities, slope protection, and other components. Backed by years of technical expertise, Qinglong demonstrates the application value of UHPC in water conservancy projects.
High Impermeability: Blocking water penetration to ensure structural safety. Components in water conservancy projects are in long-term contact with water, making impermeability a core requirement. UHPC achieves an impermeability grade of ≥P15 with a penetration height ratio of ≤5%, far exceeding the P6 standard of ordinary concrete, enabling "crack-free self-waterproofing." Qinglong's UHPC components have a porosity of ≤5%, mostly closed micropores, preventing moisture from penetrating the interior. Used in dam anti-seepage panels and spillway linings, they effectively prevent leakage and avoid soil seepage failure. A UHPC anti-seepage panel on a reservoir dam, only 40mm thick with an impermeability grade of P18, has shown no water seepage after years of use, saving 30% more material than traditional concrete anti-seepage layers.
Strong Corrosion Resistance: Withstanding harsh media erosion. Water in water conservancy projects often contains corrosive media such as chloride ions, sulfates, and acid-alkali substances. Ordinary concrete is prone to carbonation, rebar corrosion, and surface spalling, while UHPC's dense structure blocks the penetration of corrosive media. Combined with alkali-resistant fibers, it delivers outstanding corrosion resistance. Qinglong's UHPC products show no rust after 500-hour salt spray tests, with strength loss of ≤5% in 500-hour sulfate erosion tests. Used as linings in desalination plants and sewage treatment tanks, they resist acid-alkali wastewater and seawater corrosion. UHPC linings at a sewage treatment plant replaced traditional anti-corrosion coatings, extending service life from 5 years to over 30 years and reducing maintenance costs by 70%.
High Durability and Scour-Abrasion Resistance: Adapting to extreme conditions. Components in water conservancy projects must withstand extreme conditions such as water-flow scouring, sediment abrasion, and freeze-thaw cycles. UHPC has a compressive strength of ≥150MPa and an impact strength of ≥4.0kJ/m², with wear resistance 5-8 times that of ordinary concrete, capable of withstanding high-speed water flow and sediment impact; with a frost resistance grade of ≥F300, it shows no freeze-thaw damage even in cold northern regions. In the ecological restoration project of the Xinjiang River in Yiyang County, Qinglong supplied UHPC ecological revetment components that resist scour and abrasion while remaining eco-friendly, promoting the growth of aquatic plants; UHPC lining panels at a spillway have withstood water flow at a velocity of 5m/s for 3 years with no signs of wear.
Lightweight High Strength and Easy Construction: Improving project efficiency. With its high strength, UHPC components can be designed as thin-walled structures (30-50mm thick), weighing only 1/3 of traditional concrete components, facilitating transport and installation—especially suitable for complex construction scenarios such as underwater and high-altitude work. Qinglong's UHPC water conservancy components are factory-precast with high dimensional precision (tolerance ≤±2mm) and installed on-site using modular methods, shortening construction periods by 40% compared with traditional concrete and requiring no complex formwork support. In a riverbank slope protection project, Qinglong's UHPC precast slope protection blocks could be manually carried and installed, completing 1,000 square meters of paving in 10 days, greatly improving construction efficiency.
Qinglong's Technical Assurance for Water Conservancy Engineering. Qinglong owns a provincial-level R&D center and optimizes UHPC formulas to meet water conservancy needs by adding corrosion-resistant, scour- and abrasion-resistant ingredients; production adopts high-pressure spray molding and intelligent curing to ensure stable component performance; full-chain services from design, production, and installation to after-sales support are provided to suit different water conservancy scenarios. For water conservancy builders, choosing UHPC means a safer, more durable, and more economical solution. Qinglong leverages its professional strength to enhance the quality and efficiency of water conservancy projects, driving upgrades in water resource utilization and flood control safety.
