The selection of adhesive for bonding GRC decorative panels to the substrate should follow the principles of "matching the substrate type, meeting bonding strength requirements, and compatibility with the service environment." Two main categories are core recommendations: polymer cement mortar and epoxy adhesives. Through adhesive selection and construction process optimization, Qinglong achieves a bonding strength of ≥1.5MPa, and projects such as Guangzhou Dongzhu Shangdu and Zhongshan Kaiyin Xincheng carry no risk of bonding failure.
1. Selecting Adhesives by Substrate Type: Precise Base Matching
The substrate material determines adhesive compatibility. Concrete substrate: when substrate strength is ≥C25, use polymer cement mortar (dosage 10-15%) with bonding strength ≥1.5MPa; Qinglong polymer cement mortar offers good compatibility with concrete substrates and low shrinkage. Masonry substrate (brick walls, autoclaved aerated concrete blocks): high substrate porosity calls for flexible polymer cement mortar with a certain deformation capacity; Qinglong flexible adhesive has tensile bonding strength ≥1.2MPa to accommodate substrate deformation. Steel structure substrate: use epoxy adhesive (two-component) for strong bonding to steel; Qinglong epoxy adhesive has shear strength ≥3.0MPa and excellent corrosion resistance. Stone substrate: use stone-specific polymer adhesive to avoid corroding the stone; Qinglong specialty adhesive achieves bonding strength with stone ≥1.0MPa with no efflorescence.
2. Selecting by Service Environment and Load Requirements: Ensuring Long-Term Stability
The service environment and load conditions determine adhesive performance requirements. Outdoor environments: require weather resistance and water resistance; use polymer cement mortar (with antifreeze and waterproofing agents added); Qinglong outdoor adhesive withstands ≥300 freeze-thaw cycles with no significant drop in bonding strength. Indoor dry environments: low weatherability requirements allow ordinary polymer cement mortar; Qinglong ordinary adhesive has bonding strength ≥1.0MPa, meeting light indoor load requirements. Heavy GRC panels (weight >50kg): require high-strength bonding; use epoxy adhesive or a polymer cement mortar + anchor bolt combination; Qinglong's combined solution achieves bonding strength ≥2.0MPa for safe load-bearing. Damp environments (basements, bathrooms): require waterproof adhesives; use polymer cement waterproof adhesive; Qinglong waterproof adhesive has water absorption ≤3% and stable bonding strength.
3. Qinglong's Adhesive Selection Standards and Construction Key Points
Standardized selection and construction ensure bonding quality. Selection standards: the adhesive must be compatible with the GRC panel material and non-corrosive; all Qinglong adhesives pass compatibility tests and cause no damage to GRC. Construction key points: the substrate must be cleaned thoroughly (free of dust, oil stains, and standing water), an interface agent applied to enhance adhesion, and adhesive applied at 3-5mm thickness with coverage ≥90%; Qinglong applies adhesive with a notched trowel for uniform bonding. Curing requirements: natural curing for ≥7 days after application, avoiding early loading; Qinglong prohibits moving or bumping GRC panels during curing. Project cases: Guangzhou Dongzhu Shangdu GRC cladding panels (60kg per panel) used an epoxy adhesive + anchor bolt combination, achieving bonding strength of 2.2MPa with no loosening after years in service; Zhongshan Kaiyin Xincheng indoor GRC window surrounds used ordinary polymer cement mortar with firm bonding and no detachment.
