Colored UHPC curtain wall panels offer excellent color durability, with a color difference of ΔE≤3.0 after 10 years in outdoor environments, meeting the requirements of the Standard for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Decoration. This depends primarily on pigment selection, surface treatment, and production processes. Qinglong uses inorganic weather-resistant pigments and a silane impregnation process, with colors remaining stable and no obvious fading across multiple overseas high-temperature, high-UV projects.
1. Pigment Selection: Weather Resistance Is the Core
Pigment quality directly determines color durability. Pigment type: inorganic metal oxide pigments (such as iron oxide red and titanium white) are preferred, as they resist UV rays and high temperatures (≥800°C) without fading or decomposing; all Qinglong pigments pass weather resistance testing (no discoloration after 1,000 hours of artificial accelerated aging). Pigment dosage: dosage is controlled at 3-5%, as excessive amounts would affect UHPC strength; through precise proportioning, Qinglong achieves uniform color with strength meeting standards (compressive strength ≥120MPa). Compatibility testing: pigments must be compatible with the UHPC cementitious system without chemical reactions; every batch of Qinglong pigments undergoes compatibility testing to ensure no whitening or sanding.
2. Production and Surface Treatment: Locking in Color
Processes and treatments reinforce color stability. Production process: a through-body coloring process is adopted, with pigments evenly distributed throughout the UHPC rather than applied as a surface coating, avoiding wear-induced fading; after through-body coloring, Qinglong achieves a color penetration depth of ≥20mm, with consistent color even after surface wear. Surface sealing: after molding, a silane impregnation agent or fluorocarbon varnish is applied to form a protective film that blocks UV rays and rain erosion; after silane impregnation, Qinglong reduces surface water absorption by 60% and improves color retention by 30%. Quality control: the water-cement ratio is controlled during production (≤0.24) to ensure UHPC density (≥2.4g/cm³) and reduce channels for pigment loss; Qinglong achieves a 100% density compliance rate.
3. Durability Testing and Project Practice
Testing and project cases verify color stability. Testing standard: artificial accelerated aging tests are conducted according to GB/T 1865-2009, with a color difference of ΔE≤2.0 after 1,000 hours; Qinglong product test results all outperform the standard. Outdoor exposure testing: outdoor exposure tests are carried out in extreme climate regions such as Hainan and Xinjiang, with a color difference of ΔE≤1.5 after 5 years and no chalking or fading; Qinglong's exposure test data is available for customer reference. Project cases: the colored UHPC perforated panels at the Ouargla Hotel in Algeria, located in a high-temperature, high-UV environment, show a color difference of ΔE≤2.5 after 10 years of use, with colors still vibrant; the colored translucent UHPC panels at Shanghai New World Plaza show no obvious fading after 8 years of outdoor use, with stable light transmission.
