The core performance differences between Standard-type and Economy-type UHPC are concentrated in three dimensions: strength class, durability, and denseness. Economy-type aims to meet basic high-performance needs, while Standard-type pursues ultimate performance. Through precise mix proportion design, Qinglong enables both to fit different project budgets and functional requirements, with clear and quantifiable performance indicators.
I. Strength Class Difference: The Watershed of Core Performance
Strength is the most intuitive difference between the two and determines the upper limit of application scenarios. Compressive strength: Standard-type UHPC has cube compressive strength ≥150MPa and axial compressive strength ≥120MPa; Economy-type has ≥120MPa, with axial compressive strength ≥100MPa. Qinglong's mass-produced Standard-type products generally reach 150-180MPa in strength, and Economy-type reaches 120-140MPa. Flexural strength: Standard-type ≥20MPa, Economy-type ≥15MPa; the Standard-type has higher flexural strength with better crack resistance and toughness. Qinglong's Standard-type UHPC has a measured flexural strength of 22-25MPa and is suitable for large-span, high-stress members. Elastic modulus: Standard-type ≥50GPa, Economy-type ≥45GPa; the Standard-type has greater stiffness and less deformation. Qinglong's Standard-type UHPC maintains a stable elastic modulus of 50-55GPa, suited to scenarios with strict deformation control.
II. Durability Indicator Difference: Assurance of Long-Term Performance
Durability differences directly affect service life and maintenance costs. Freeze-thaw resistance: Standard-type can withstand 300 freeze-thaw cycles with strength loss ≤3%; Economy-type can withstand 250 cycles with strength loss ≤5%. Qinglong's Standard-type UHPC has been used in Northeast China projects for 6 years with no freeze-thaw damage. Impermeability: Standard-type has an impermeability grade ≥P30 and Economy-type ≥P25; Standard-type has a chloride ion penetration coefficient ≤0.5×10⁻¹²m²/s and Economy-type ≤1.0×10⁻¹²m²/s; Standard-type is preferred for coastal high-salt-mist environments. Carbonation and corrosion resistance: Standard-type has nearly zero carbonation depth and a sulfate corrosion resistance grade ≥KS150; Economy-type has carbonation depth ≤1mm and a sulfate corrosion resistance grade ≥KS100; Standard-type is recommended for industrially corrosive environments. Service life: Standard-type has a design service life ≥50 years and Economy-type ≥30 years; Qinglong's Standard-type UHPC project cases have been in use for 10 years with no performance degradation.
III. Denseness and Other Indicator Differences: The Backbone of Performance
Denseness is the foundation of strength and durability, while other indicators match the performance positioning. Porosity: Standard-type has total porosity ≤2% with closed pores accounting for ≥90%; Economy-type has total porosity ≤3% with closed pores accounting for ≥85%. Qinglong's Standard-type achieves better denseness through steam curing technology and particle gradation optimization. Workability: Standard-type has fresh-mix spread ≥750mm and Economy-type ≥700mm, both meeting self-compacting requirements; the workability of Qinglong's Economy-type UHPC can be adjusted with admixtures to suit complex shapes. Cost difference: Economy-type costs 15%-20% less than Standard-type, mainly due to cementitious material usage (10%-15% less in Economy-type) and mineral admixture proportions (Economy-type uses a higher fly ash content). Qinglong offers both product series, allowing flexible selection according to project budget.
