Large-sized double-curved GRC panels (single panel dimensions ≥6m×3m or weight ≥1000kg) feature special shapes and heavy weight, imposing strict requirements on the selection, performance, and operation of lifting equipment, directly affecting installation safety and precision. Drawing on its experience from the Guangxi New Media Center large-sized double-curved GRC project, Qinglong analyzes the core requirements for lifting equipment and provides practical guidelines.
I. Core Parameter Requirements for Lifting Equipment Selection
Precisely match equipment parameters to ensure load-bearing and operational capacity. Rated lifting capacity: The rated lifting capacity of the equipment must be ≥1.5 times the weight of the double-curved GRC panel. For panels weighing 1000-2000kg, a truck crane may be selected; for weights above 2000kg, a crawler crane is required. In the Hainan Poly Peninsula No. 1 project, Qinglong used a crawler crane with a rated lifting capacity of 50 tons for the operation. Working radius and lifting height: Select equipment based on installation height and on-site working radius. The lifting height must reserve a safety distance of ≥2m, and the working radius error must be ≤0.5m to avoid equipment overload. Stability requirements: The equipment must have good anti-tipping performance. Crawler crane ground pressure must be ≤0.18MPa, and truck cranes must be equipped with outrigger pads (area ≥1.5㎡) to ensure ground bearing capacity meets standards (≥15t/㎡).
II. Equipment Auxiliary Devices and Compatibility Requirements
Equip specialized devices to meet the installation requirements of double-curved shapes. Lifting gear selection: Use flexible slings or specialized lifting beams to prevent rigid lifting gear from damaging component surfaces. Sling width must be ≥100mm, and lifting beams must be customized according to the double-curved surface to ensure uniform force distribution. Angle adjustment devices: Equip rotatable lifting gear that allows double-curved GRC panels to adjust angles during hoisting to accommodate installation slopes; the angle adjustment range must be ≥±15°. Precision positioning devices: Large projects are advised to use laser positioning systems to monitor component hoisting positions in real time, with errors controlled within ±1mm. In the Shenzhen Longhua Xiangshan Science and Technology Park project, Qinglong achieved precise installation through laser positioning.
III. Equipment Operation and On-site Work Standards
Standardized operation procedures to avoid installation risks. Operator qualifications: Certified crane operators, signal workers, and commanders must be assigned, all of whom must receive specialized training in double-curved GRC installation and be familiar with component characteristics and hoisting procedures. Hoisting speed control: Lifting speed must be ≤0.5m/s and horizontal movement speed ≤1m/s. Avoid sudden acceleration or braking that could cause component swinging; double-curved components must adjust posture slowly to prevent collisions. Site environment requirements: Work is only permitted when wind force is ≤ level 6 and visibility is ≥50m. In hot weather, equipment cooling and personnel heat prevention measures must be taken. The ground must be level and hardened, free of obstacles affecting the working radius.
IV. Equipment Inspection and Emergency Support Requirements
Full-process equipment management to ensure operational safety. Equipment pre-inspection and maintenance: Thoroughly inspect equipment performance before hoisting, including wire rope wear, hook safety, and braking system sensitivity. Non-compliant equipment is strictly prohibited from use. Qinglong has established a regular equipment maintenance mechanism to ensure a 100% serviceability rate. Emergency backup equipment: Large projects must be equipped with backup lifting equipment to handle sudden failures, along with emergency supplies (such as spare slings and rope tensioners). Hoisting monitoring: Combine video surveillance with dedicated personnel patrols to monitor the entire hoisting process in real time, stopping operations immediately upon detecting anomalies. Qinglong implements a "one machine, one person" dedicated monitoring system on large projects.
