Curvature Protection for Double-Curved GRC Panels During Transport: A Damage-Free Solution from Factory to Site

The curvature precision of double-curved GRC panels is central to realizing architectural forms, yet vibration and compression during transportation can easily cause curvature deformation. In the Mingyue Lake European Style Town project in Nanning, an additional bubble cushioning layer was added to key curved surfaces of double-curved GRC decorative components, ensuring no direct contact between components and supports or between components themselves. At the same time, the loading quantity per truck is controlled with safety spacing reserved to prevent components from colliding and rubbing against each other during transportation.

Dynamic monitoring and standardized transportation procedures provide reliable safeguards. Qinglong's transportation fleet is equipped with GPS positioning and vibration monitoring systems. During the international transportation for the National Service Center project in Singapore, road conditions along the transportation route were monitored in real time, with vehicle speed and driving posture adjusted promptly to avoid sudden braking, sharp turns, and other violent maneuvers. Standardized transportation procedures were also established with clear loading and unloading specifications, using dedicated lifting equipment for smooth hoisting to eliminate rough handling.
