Impact resistance is the "hardcore strength" of GRC panels, directly determining their ability to withstand external forces such as collisions and falling objects. As a group that has undertaken projects in high-traffic areas such as the Sanya Festival Plaza, Qinglong Group has treated impact resistance as a core indicator for 28 years, with products meeting high industry standards to ensure structural safety during use.
During installation and use, GRC panels are prone to external impacts such as construction collisions, daily friction, and accidental falling objects. Substandard impact resistance can easily lead to damage and cracking, or even cause safety accidents. Through technical optimization, Qinglong GRC panels deliver impact resistance far exceeding industry standards, providing reliable protection for architectural decoration.
According to the standard "Glass Fibre Reinforced Cement (GRC) Decorative Products" (JC/T940-2022), the impact resistance of GRC panels must meet the following requirement: a 0.5 kg steel ball is dropped freely from a height of 1 m, and after impact, the panel shows no through cracks or breakage. For GRC panels used on outdoor curtain walls and in high-traffic areas, higher impact resistance is required. Qinglong raises the steel ball drop height to 1.5 m for such products, which still remain structurally intact after impact. In the Huawei Songshan Lake Terminal project, the interior GRC decorative panels passed impact tests and fully met the stringent requirements of high-end projects.
The content and distribution of glass fibres are the core: Qinglong uses filament alkali-resistant glass fibres at a content of ≥3%, and ensures uniform distribution through an automated material distribution system, forming a continuous "reinforcement network". Slurry density has a significant effect: vacuum dewatering plus high-frequency vibration is used to increase slurry density, reduce internal pores, and enhance impact resistance. Qinglong strictly controls the water-cement ratio and mixing time in production, ensuring the slurry is uniform and dense, laying the foundation for impact resistance.
Qinglong's Impact Resistance Enhancement Solution: The Full Process from R&D to Testing
Through formula optimization, Qinglong adds elastic fibres to enhance the toughness and impact resistance of GRC panels; during production, a "double-layer mesh + local reinforcement" design is adopted, with reinforcement layers added at corners and other impact-prone areas. Every batch of products undergoes random impact resistance testing before leaving the factory, ensuring a 100% pass rate. In the Huawei Headquarters project in Bantian, Shenzhen, the GRC panels underwent multiple impact tests with no damage or cracking, earning high recognition from the client.
The impact resistance of GRC panels is an important guarantee of structural safety. For 28 years, Qinglong has adhered to high standards, creating GRC products with outstanding impact resistance through material optimization, process upgrades, and rigorous testing. Choosing high-impact-resistance GRC panels that meet standards can effectively resist external damage, extend service life, and provide long-term safety for architectural decoration.
