The design firm for the Dali University Library and Information Center project is Tsinghua University Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. The design extracts key landscape elements from traditional Bai architecture, such as layered roofs, upturned eaves, corridors, and courtyards, as prototypes and design elements. The style is primarily modern and simple, and the materials used are GRC components.

The main building of the Library and Information Center blends perfectly with the natural landscape of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake in Dali and the city's historical and cultural heritage. Once completed, it will become another landmark building for the school and even the ancient city of Dali.

The Qinglong team won a bid for the Dali University Library and Information Center project, which cost over ten million yuan.
