The machining differences between single-curved GRC panels and double-curved GRC panels are primarily reflected in four dimensions: mold fabrication, forming process, precision control, and jointing difficulty. Single-curved panel machining is relatively simplified, while double-curved panels require higher precision and more complex process adaptation. Through differentiated machining solutions, Qinglong has achieved a forming pass rate of 99.8% for both panel types: the Shanghai Qingpu R&D project (single-curved) and the Guangxi New Media Center (double-curved) both realized perfect shaping outcomes.
I. Mold Fabrication Differences: Different Complexity and Precision
Molds are the core carrier of machining differences. Single-curved GRC panel molds: curvature exists in only one direction (e.g., cylindrical surfaces), so mold design is simple and three-axis CNC machining is used, with dimensional deviation ≤±1.0mm. Qinglong's single-curved molds are made of GRP with a service life ≥50 uses, and machining efficiency is 40% higher than double-curved. Double-curved GRC panel molds: curvature exists in two perpendicular directions (e.g., spherical and parabolic surfaces), requiring five-axis CNC machining, with dimensional deviation ≤±0.5mm. Qinglong's double-curved molds adopt a GRP + steel frame composite structure with stiffening rib spacing ≤400mm; stiffness is 50% higher than single-curved molds, and the machining cycle is 2-3 times that of single-curved. Mold jointing: single-curved molds can be made as a whole, while double-curved molds must be made in segments (each segment length ≤1.5m) with joint gaps ≤0.2mm. Qinglong uses BIM positioning for double-curved mold jointing, achieving an alignment rate of 99%.
II. Forming and Precision Control Differences: Different Process Adaptation
Forming and precision control adapt to surface complexity. Forming process: single-curved panels use manual mortar application + mechanical vibration for high forming efficiency, with Qinglong's single-curved panel forming cycle ≤4 hours/panel; double-curved panels require spray-up forming + vacuum degassing to ensure the slurry evenly covers the curved surface and avoid air bubbles and slurry shortage, with Qinglong's double-curved panel forming cycle ≥8 hours/panel. Precision inspection: single-curved panels use two-dimensional inspection (laser rangefinder + straightedge), with surface precision ≤±0.8mm; Qinglong's inspection is highly efficient, with a 99.5% pass rate; double-curved panels require 3D laser scanning inspection, with surface precision ≤±0.3mm; Qinglong adjusts in real time based on inspection data feedback, achieving 99.8% surface conformity. Fiber distribution: tension on double-curved panel surfaces easily causes uneven fiber distribution, requiring biaxial forced mixing + layered spraying; Qinglong's double-curved panels achieve 97% fiber distribution uniformity and edge crack resistance strength ≥8MPa.
III. Jointing Difficulty and Project Practice Differences
Jointing difficulty increases with surface complexity. Single-curved panel jointing: only single-axis curvature needs to be aligned, with joint line alignment deviation ≤1.0mm; Qinglong uses chalk line positioning + snap-fit fixing, achieving a jointing pass rate of 98%; double-curved panel jointing: biaxial curvature must be aligned simultaneously, with joint alignment deviation ≤0.5mm and smooth surfaces free of steps; Qinglong generates jointing positioning points through BIM modeling with on-site laser calibration, achieving a jointing pass rate of 99%. Project cases: the single-curved GRC exterior wall panels of the Shanghai Qingpu R&D project, with a 25-day machining cycle, feature smooth lines after jointing, meeting high-tech park building requirements; the double-curved GRC panels of the Guangxi New Media Center—with no two panels identical—were realized through five-axis machined molds + 3D inspection + precise jointing, becoming a landmark building in Nanning and showcasing Qinglong's core strength in double-curved machining.
